Description and Applications

AWF-503 is an aluminum-rutile bonded/agglomerated flux which can be used in AC or DC welding of low carbon, low alloy mild steel. It is suited to double layer, single pass and fillet welding. It is resistant to cracking and porosities.

Typical applications included: Tanks, Boilers and Pressure Vessel welding.

Flux should be heated for 2 hours at 350°C. Remove all rust, oil, dirt, water from the steel before welding.
